Friday, 18th September belonged to the schools. Students in uniform arrived in groups from the morning, registered at the front desk and were guided through the exhibition hall, stand by stand.
At the Hakikat Bookstore / goFreeBooks stand, students received free books, while publishers including Clasier Publishing, Adams Pages Bookstore, StudyNow Educare and Fortham Publishers walked young readers through their titles. At the Nigerian Youth in Mining Initiative (NIYIM) stand, students handled real mineral samples and learnt how the resources beneath Nigeria’s soil shape everyday life.
On the main stage, students took the microphone to read and share their thoughts on reading, alongside talks and presentations from educators and exhibitors. The day ended with a large group photograph of students, teachers and organisers.
